Is there a major difference between Snowboard jackets and a sking jacket?

I was just wondering im interested in buying a new winter jacket and i ski so i wanted to buy a snowboard jacket which have better styles. So is there a difference i should be aware/worried about and if u could recommend a brand that be awesome.
